d8m8 (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a mobile application designed for couples to capture and celebrate their relationship. The app is operated by Patrick Melhem. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@d8m8.app.

We collect only what's necessary to run the app:

• ·Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
• ·Relationship data — your relationship start date, memories, photos, and places you choose to add.
• ·Location data — only when you search for a place while adding a memory. We use the Google Places API to resolve place names. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
• ·Device data — standard crash reports and diagnostic data to keep the app stable.
• ·Payment data — subscription status only. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We never see your card number.

Your data is used to:

• ·Provide and personalize the d8m8 experience for you and your partner.
• ·Send local notifications you've opted into (milestones, reminders).
• ·Process your subscription status via RevenueCat.
• ·Diagnose and fix bugs.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.

d8m8 uses the following third-party services:

• ·Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and file storage. Your data is stored in Google's cloud infrastructure. Firebase Privacy Policy →

• ·Google Places API — used to search for and display place names when you add a memory. Location queries are sent to Google only when you actively use the place search. Google Privacy Policy →

When you pair with a partner, both of you can view all shared memories, photos, and relationship data within the app. This is the core function of d8m8. By creating or joining a couple, you acknowledge that your partner will have access to everything you add.

We recommend only pairing with someone you trust.

Photos you add to memories are uploaded to Firebase Storage and are accessible only to you and your paired partner. We do not scan, analyze, or use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them within the app.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Some residual data may remain in backup systems for up to 90 days before being fully purged.

d8m8 is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@d8m8.app. We'll respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase's built-in encryption at rest and in transit, and strict Firestore security rules that ensure only you and your partner can access your couple's data.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you within the app. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
